Evaluation

I chose to focus on roads and intersection because I am a driver myself therefor I have some knowledge on how intersections work, also it gives my work a more personal link.

I think that my final designs are effective at getting the theme across because it shows junctions around the world while also being very simple in design. I took a lot of inspiration mainly form Melissa Prices work to influence my final pieces I did this because I felt like her style would represent what I’m trying show within my work while also being very visual pleasing.

I have experimented with different styles and I have also looked at different types of junctions I did this because I wanted to see how I could take my designs further by making them more detail, I also can experiment with different shapes, this therefor allows me to have more directions that I can take my work.

I am happy with the amount of research that I have done because I have looked at different art pieces that related to intersections. I also looked at maps that where unrelated to intersections but instead focused on other means of transport like the London Underground I did this I can look at the graphics used on these map and take inspiration for my final pieces. I also looked at google maps and looked at different road layouts and intersections so that I can get ideas on what I want to use for my final pieces.

In conclusion I think I have done well when coming to developing and researching my final designs. But I should have probably should have looked into experimenting with the background or using different colours for the road, I also should of tried to make a more detailed intersection design just to see if that would of worked.
